My Story

Welcome to Rochelle's Wanderlust Chronicles! My name is Rochelle, and I used to work as an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW). Since I was young, traveling around the world has been my dream. To prepare myself, I learned basic survival skills such as doing household chores, washing clothes properly, and cooking simple meals. I also informed myself about current events by watching local and international news. Knowing that education would help me survive in this troubled world, I worked hard from elementary school until college. Growing up in a big family that struggled financially, I realized early on how harsh life could be. I wanted to have a good life in the future and travel the world to gain more knowledge and experiences. However, I knew that without money to support my dreams, they would remain just that - dreams.

I started working to earn money, but my obligation to my family kept pressing me to continue. Eventually, I decided to focus on supporting my family and put my dreams on hold. I worked hard until I had the opportunity to go abroad for work, where I earned more money. Living abroad changed my perspective on life, and as I aged, my priorities shifted. I realized that if I waited until I fulfilled my obligation to my family, I might end up old and alone. I had earned enough money to start pursuing my long-lost dream of traveling and exploring the world. I would still help my family, but I also wanted to live my life to the fullest and not regret missed opportunities. Life is short, so I want to make the most of it.
